Sita Stulberg
Sita Stulberg worked for eleven years as a poet-consultant for California Poets In The Schools and served as the Coordinator for Los Angeles. Her prose and poetry have appeared in literary journals and magazines such as Onthebus, The New Los Angeles Poets, Truth And Lies That Press For Life, Vol No, Mid Air, Poison Ivy, Fuori di Testa (in Italy,) and Earthkeeper Magazine. Her books include: Before the Swan, Spare Change & Fist-Chested Women, Listening for Eternity, and Abutilon. She edited A Child's Recipe for Enlightenment, a collection of poetry written by children, grades 3 through 8.
Sita taught poetry for nearly 30 years at public schools in California and Oregon, including nine years in Eugene. She’s taught at Madison Middle School for six years and held a special writing session to help students cope when the school’s beloved social studies teacher, Andy Morgenstern, died suddenly of a heart attack in 2012.
Sita passed away in 2016.
